I started photography simply as a way to capture the beauty surrounding me while working as a Safari Guide at Londolozi. Right from the first click I was hooked. I believe my degree in nature conservation combined with safari guide training helped hone my eye as within a year I was signed on as a wildlife stock photographer (E6 slide film) for Gallo and Getty Images.
From the African bush to Bushmans Kloof. For 18 months I was Head Guide at the Relais Chateaux Bushmanskloof in the Cederberg mountains. I left lodge life to follow a childhood dream and spent a year traveling South America including a few months living with a remote Amazon tribe while working with Tropic Eco. These changes influenced my photography and I diversified into travel photography.
After South America I moved to Cape Town working initially as a freelance guide for one of the worlds best safari operators Micato. In 2010 I went out on my own and started Photography Tours (a first of its kind in Cape Town) which was awarded Luxury Travel Guide’s bespoke Tour Operator Western Cape for 2018.
